The dietary diversity, agriculture and nutrition nexus: what are the gaps in knowledge?

Through linear programming, food-based dietary guidelines can be developed based on locally available, acceptable and affordable foods. The presentation will address whether optimized local diets are able to fulfil all requirements, reflect on effects of (re)introducing underutilized or non-utilized foods and discuss whether these diets can be sustained by existing food systems.
