Agriculture and Nutrition: What do we know now, and what do we still need to know?
This talk sets the scene for debate on the evidence regarding links between agriculture and nutrition. It highlights a need to combine (conceptually and operationally): (a) malnutrition prevention with treatment; (b) funding targeted health system interventions with agriculture-based initiatives; and, (c) ensuring the safety, quality and integrity of food systems while seeking to produce more food. Gaps in knowledge and research priorities are suggested.
